MOLDAVIA TO SUPPLY GRAIN TO AZERBAIJAN

(ITAR-TASS) вЂ" Moldavia will supply grain of new crop to Azerbaijan. The agreement was achieved during the telephone conversation between Prime-Ministers Vasiliy Tarlev and Artur Rasizada on Wednesday.

The volume of supply and price will be discussed by the Moldovan-Azerbaijani Commission on Trade and Economic cooperation. Azerbaijan will receive the Moldovan fodder grain, as well as seeds of sunflower and maize.

During the conversation the sides exchanged opinions on the bilateral cooperation, expressed satisfaction with growth of goods turnover, which comprised $1.3 million in 2004 and grew by 24.1% as compared 2003.

Moldavia broke the record in the harvest i.e it gathered 1.4 mn tons or 168,500 tons more as compared 2004. The Moldovan government intends to reduce grain sowing as the country needs only in 250,000 hectares of sowing to cover its demand.
