“The second �A319’ airbus of the international air concern Airbus Industries will arrive in Baku on 25 October,” Sabir Ilyasov, the first deputy of the AZAL State concern, told Trend .
The third and forth planes will be delivered to Azerbaijan in mid 2006. �A319’ airbuses purchased by AZAL will be used in international routes. The first one was delivered from Hamburg on 2 September 2005.
AZAL received the �320’ airbus, used for training of technical crew.
The contract on purchase of 4 planes was signed by the heads of AZAL and AIRBUS in Berlin in August 2004. The value of the contract comprises $170m. New planes are purchased within the program on development of civil aviation system.
