Industrial goods production made up 31.2trln AZM

Over 9 months of 2005 industrial production in Azerbaijan amounted to 31.2trln manats, or 28% more than 2004, the State Statistics Committee told Trend.

Over 9 months of 2004 the oil production grew 35% to 15.5 million tons, while gas production rose 8.3% to 4bn cu m.

Along with the oil sector, the growth was also fixed in the non-oil sector, which summed up 16.7%, while the growth pace in the grain-production, rubber and plastic goods production and metallurgy even exceeded the said figure.

94.1% of production fell on industry, 5.9% - services. Rise of the non-oil sector, which unites 2/3 of industry made up 45%. 294 joint-stock companies produced goods and services for 2.3trln manats, which is 13.9% more than the same period of 2004.

In January to August 2005 the number of employees of the industrial sector rose 4%
and made up 154,100 people, in non-oil sector rose 15.6% to 50,400 people.

Net salary rate in oil production industry was up 2.2 times as compared to other sectors.

Average wage rate in Azerbaijan in this sector grew 37.7% as compared to last year and made up 1.3m manats.

The highest salary in the refinery sector was registered in metallurgy, cement industry, production of transport devices and oil refinery, while the lower salary was fixed in grains production, construction, production of leather goods and shoes, as well as wood.

34,800 people are involved in the energy, gas and water supply sector with average monthly salary of 543,200 manats, 27% more than the previous year.
