Madina Musayeva, the coordinator of the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA), will arrive in Baku on 24 October within the project on cooperation for stable development of the agriculture in the Caucasus and Central Asia developed in 1995, the Science-Agrarian Center of the Agriculture Ministry told Trend.
The goal of the visit is to get familiar with the current state of the monitoring of the project on increase of farmer incomes by effective use of soil and water resources.
�The 2-year project financed by the Asian Development Bank has implemented
in Azerbaijan for year”, the Center stressed. Musayeva also plans to meet with the Director of the Center, coordinator of ICARDA in Azerbaijan, Asad Musayev, as well as other specialist of the Ministry to discuss the further cooperation between the Ministry and ICARDA in agrarian sector.
Azerbaijan has experience in cooperation with the organization in genetic reserves, selection and training of personnel. The Center has implemented 3 projects under financial support if the ICARDA.
ICARDA with headquarters in Aleppo (Syria) was established in 1977.
