The French government has voiced its readiness for financing the equipment to airports in Ganja and Nakhchivan through approval of loan for purchase of navigation devices, the Azerbaijani government told Trend.
"The amount and terms of the credits are not disclosed. Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) state company should develop and submit an estate of the appropriate project,’ the government said.
The approval of credit can be resolved this year, as Azerbaijan is ready to sign relevant documents in December 2005 if positive resolution is taken. A next-in-turn meeting of the Azerbaijani-French intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation has been also scheduled.
"At present the agenda of the meeting is under coordination. The issue on financing the equipment of airports in Ganja and Nakhchivan can be resolved under the event to be held in Paris,” he noted.
