“New manats will be issued during December,” Alim Guliyev, the deputy chairman of the National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA), told Trend. Nevertheless, old banknotes will be in use as well in accordance with the decree. Stage-by-stage issue of new banknotes is currently under consideration, as there is a problem with 19 banknotes.
It is possible that some banknotes will be issued gradually in accordance with international experience, but there is no problem with timely delivery.
