Azerbaijan can receive transport credit of WB in 2006
Azerbaijan can receive a transport credit of the World Bank (WB) on the second project on highways, envisaging construction and reconstruction of the highways Alat-Astara-Iranian border and Baku-Shamakhi, in 2006. If the project is confirmed within the current visit of the WB mission, drawing-up of the credit agreement may start, WB told Trend.
On 29 November the WB transport mission will set to discussion at the Azerbaijani Transport Ministry on this project.
The total amount of the project on construction and reconstruction of Alat-Astara-Iranian border highway comprises $350m. The project will be financed by WB (3/2) and the Asian Development Bank.
