The Corporate Governance Project (ACGP), implementing by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in Azerbaijan, will hold a workshop on corporate governance and its importance in Shamakhi on Wednesday. It will come as the fivth workshop beyond Baku, ACGP told Trend.
It will be organized for members of observation councils and boards of the joint stock companies functioning in the town.
Attending the event will be 29 companies. The participants of the workshop will discuss favor of application of international standards on corporate governance, including, improving of investment attraction within the program
The fist workshop organized by the program was held in Ganja on 11 May, the second - Lankaran on 22 July, the third - Nakhchivan on 9 August, the fourth - Guba on 9 September.
The ACGP was opened by IFC on 26 January and financed Sweden State Secretarian on Economic Relations.
The project is planned for 3 years and the total budget comprises $2.1m.
