The next monitoring for defining the bird flu availability in Azerbaijan is scheduled to start on 9 January. It will be the sixth monitoring, the State Veterinary Service under the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan told Trend.
The previous monitoring was completed on 26 December 2005 and according to its results no signs of this disease were observed within the country.
The monitoring is held by the special Commission, comprised of the Veterinary Service specialists, the Health, Ecology and Natural Resources Ministries, the Institute of Zoology under the National Academy of Sciences and the Azerbaijans Hunters Society.
