Deciphering of AN-100-140 aircraft light recorder will be finished in January
Deciphering of the flight recorder traces from the aircraft AN-100-140 which crashed on 23 December 2005 near Baku will be finished till late January, the Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) State Concern told Trend.
Part of the information has been decoded todate. The process is implemented by the commission, comprising AZAL, Prosecutor General, Interior Ministry, National Security Ministry officials, the Kharkov state aviation enterprise (Ukraine), the Inter-state Aviation Committee and etc. В"After complete finalizing the works we will be able to announce officially the causes of the air-crash, the AZAL spokesman said.
Deciphering of the flight recorder began on 27 December in Azerbaijan. The black box records 700 operational parameters of the aircrafts entire systems.
At the result of the air-crash 18 passengers and all 5 crew members died. The plane owned by AZAL flew out from the Heydar Aliyev international airport at 22.19 p.m. on the route Baku-Aktau and crashed 8 minutes ltaer. The cost of the plane is $9,1 million.
