Signing of the agreement on technical assistance to Azerbaijan on the account of the Japanese Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) is scheduled in March 2006 between the governments of Azerbaijan and Japan, the government told Trend. Starting with 2006, for the first time the Japanese bank sets to cooperation with Azerbaijan in this respect. The country received only financial aid from JBIC so far, Trend reports.
Among the key lines, on which the technical assistance will be made by JBIC are: development of small and medium size entrepreneurship, the water sector, energy (creation of alternative energy sources).
As the government noted, implementation of the project on training of the banking system managers on the JBIC grant funds is commencing.
