The next monitoring on revealing of bird flu in Azerbaijan was planned for late January. The 9th monitoring was scheduled for 30 January, the State Veterinary Service under the Agriculture Ministry told Trend. The monitoring is conducting by the Special Commission, including the experts of the Veterinary Service, Health Ministry, Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry, Azerbaijani Hunter Society.
The Veterinary Service stressed that they were working on the samples, taken during the previous monitoring. Nevertheless, the initial figures testify that there is no virus in Azerbaijan, the Veterinary Service underlined.
The 8th monitoring was carried out in the regions Aghjabadi, Lankaran and Massalli, as well as the national parks Aghgol and Sarysu.
