The laboratory equipment for conducting analyses of samples collected during the monitoring on detecting the bird flu virus has been delivered to Azerbaijan, the head of the State Veterinary Service under the Agriclture Ministry of Azerbaijan Ismail Hasanov said today, Trend reports.
According to him, the new equipment has been already installed and the laboratory director Elman Askerov will stay in Russia for learning the principles of its operation. The equipment has been purchased on the account of the State Oil Fund of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOFAR) and costs $100,000.
Besides, all samples collected during the monitoring will be sent to London for the repeated analyses on the initiative of the US Embassy in Baku, Hasanov said..
