US-bound customers to fill in their immigration details

British Airways chief executive Willie Walsh highlighted the importance of US-bound customers to fill in their immigration details on www. ba.com before coming to the airport to avoid the risk of being delayed, the British Mediterranean, the British Airways franchising partner told Trend .

The new Advanced Passenger Information (API) legislation, which has been introduced for all airlines by the US Government, for security reasons, requires some additional passenger information from all non-US passport holders travelling to the US.

Sabina Sharifova, BMEDs sales manager in Azerbaijan explained that the airline has a significant number of customers travelling from Azerbaijan to the US and said they must be informed of the time saving procedure. Most of the airlines tickets are sold through IATA travel agents who have been advised accordingly of the new procedures. We are trying to make travel arrangements for our customers as smooth and easy as possible, so that we can help them to complete all their details and travel will be more enjoyable for them, said Sabina Sharifova.
