Azerbaijan and the International Marine Administration (IMA) signed around 34 documents. The work on execution of these agreements and conventions will be carried out by an established marine administration, Aydin Bashirov, the head of the Azerbaijani Caspian Shipping Company, told Trend.
According to Bashirov, the body will only execute political functions, particularly, regulate the relations between the subjects, bearing their own fleet.
The Caspian Shipping Company has own vessels i.e. ferries, dry cargo ships, tanker fleet and special ships. Besides, the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry has research vessels, Caspian Oil Fleet - vessels for sea operations, the State Border Service - patrol crafts. Private companies also bear own fishing boats.
The Azerbaijani government also stressed that air administration would also be established soon, but this required reformation of AZAL Air Lines Company.
