The Ministry of Finances plans to improve the obligatory medical insurance system in 10 years, the Ministry told Trend.
Basing on a Law on Obligatory medical insurance of Azerbaijan, dated 1999, $500-600m should be approved out of the public budget every year and in this connection it is panned to change e medical insurance system. In the initial stage it is planned to apply it to state officers.
Upon formation of the obligatory medical insurance model, it will be possible to expand the category of people is subjected to. Over 5-10 years the population will be provided with obligatory medical insurance, the same source underlined.
