On Monday Aydin Aliyev, the chairman of the State Customs Committee (SCC), received Afshar Suleymani, the Iranian Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Trend reports referring to a news release spread by SCC .
At the meeting the head of SCC mentioned the development of relations in some spheres between Azerbaijan and Iran.
Aliyev underlined the role of the customs bodies in the development of cooperation between the countries, simplification of procedures on arrival of the citizens of the both countries.
Aliyev voiced hope that Iran would participate in the workshop, which will be held in the regional education centre of the World Customs Organization, and the Azerbaijani-Iranian relations would develop hence.
In his turn, the Iranian Ambassador said that he would assist in the further development of the bilateral cooperation during his diplomatic activities in Azerbaijan. Suleymani stressed necessity of the increase of number of agreements on improvement of quality customs control points, expansion of border trade between countries.
The same time the sides underlined importance of acceleration of work on opening of Horadiz customs control point.
