The International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) holds negotiations with the Azerbaijan State Railway Department (ASRD) and install POS-terminals at booking points, where everybody can purchase tickets through use of chip cards of IBA, Trend reports quoting Emil Mustafayev, the deputy chairman of the Board of IBA. After installation of POS-terminals payment may be carried out through cards in the public transport.

From 2006, IBA provided its clients with chip cards, which will be used for payment of fare by subway. Payment through cards in subway is already carried out in test regime.

IBA implemented preparatory work and ordered 5,000 POS-terminals in relation to the installation of POS-terminals within the Presidents decree and measures on transmission to cashless settlement. They will be delivered to the country in March. POS-terminals are installed at the expense of the bank i.e. trade networks do not cover expenses. Nevertheless, the bank faces with problems. Some trade objects mind their installation. The bank continues work with clients and concludes agreements.

IBA also set to installation of POS-terminals at filling stations. The bank holds trainings for employees of the filling stations in this regard. IBA intends to cover all spheres of economy in the future.
