The delegation of the Russian Federal Tax Service is planned to pay a visit to Baku in late March to get familiar with the tax system of the country and the activities of the Azerbaijani Tax Ministry, the Ministry told Trend.
It will be the first visit of the representatives of the Russian Tax Service after the dissolution of the Russian Ministry of Taxes and Charges.
The invitation was sent to Anatoliy Serdyukov, the head of the Federal Tax Service, but the exact composition of the delegation would be determined soon.
The Ministry noted that the visits were paid to expand exchange of experience. The sides held effective exchange of information to prevent tax evasion. In the framework of the cooperation the sides make inquiries for information on execution of the tax legislation by legal and physical entities. Similar exchange of information is regarded as important in the view of restoration of the funds, concealed from the public budget. Appropriate measures are envisaged to be taken to expand the cooperation between the Russian Tax Service and the Azerbaijani Tax Ministry in this direction.
The tax bodies of the countries also cooperate within the Coordination Council of the heads of the CIS tax services and the Coordination Council of tax inspection bodies.
