Monetary aggregates in circulation reduced by 11,1% in January
According to the Azerbaijan National Bank (NBA) data the total volume of the money supply for 1 February 2006 was 708,2 million РђZN, which has been reduced by 11,1% as compared to the start of the year, NBA has told Trend, although to compare the same index of 2005 the growth by 15,1% has been observed.
The ratio of cash and non-cash funds in the total money supply is 65,8% and 34,2% respectively. As it may be seen, the cash money in circulation got reduced, as by the last year results it was 73,2% in the total amount. It is explained by the measures within the presidential decree on the raise of the non-cash funds due to which the salary payment at many enterprises, payment of pensions and etc. pass on the card system.
The share of the cash money for 1 February 2006 having grown by 9,1 % against the 2005 figure and having declined by 14,8 % with the start of 2006 made up 466,2 million AZN. The non-cash aggregates grew by 28,8% and reduced by 2,9% respectively, reaching 242 million AZN.
