Final version of the Kars-TbilisiBaku railway project was presented by Turkey on March 15, Azerbaijani Deputy Transport Minister Musa Panahov told Trend. Some technical changes of the route on the Turkish territory were included in the project.
Experts from Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia will meet to discuss the technical sides of the project at the end of March. Meeting of the transport ministers from the three countries will take place at the Turkish initiative in the beginning of May. Turkish company Yuksel Domonik is involved in designing of the project.
The approximate total value of the project including the reconstruction of infrastructure is $400m. The 98km-railway passes via Georgia (30km) and Turkey (68km).
