In 2006 address social aid to be rendered only for half-year

From 15 April the Labor and Social Security Ministry sets to collection of applications from the residents of Baku, from 1 May - other regions. Though the address aid to the poor levels of the population was supposed to start from 1 April, the Ministry decided to set to it from 1 June, Trend reports.

Therefore, the address aid will be rendered only for 2nd half-year. It is necessary to collect information on incomes 6 months prior to rendering of aid, while the Ministry has not set to collections of documents due to incompleteness of preparatory work.

The people willing to receive social aid are due to present documents from 17 bodies, while pensioners can submit a reference from place of residence regadring sum

of pension and a copy of ID card.

Though preparation of legal base was over in early February, some technical reasons hindering the issue still remain. At present the Ministry continues recruitment, repair work in social security departments, establishment of single information network. Besides, a tender for purchase of computer equipment and software has not completed. It is held at the expense of the funds by the World Bank within project on reforming of pensionary and social security.

In 2006 the government allocated 72m manats from the public budget for the address social aid. Nevertheless the budgetary funds will be saved, as the aid will be rendered only for the 2nd half-year.
