New Azerbaijani recycling factory preliminary cost defined
Final version of the new recycling factory building project in Baku will be presented by the European Bank for Development and Reconstruction (EBDR) consultant to the Azerbaijani government at the end of April beginning of May.
EBDR is initially prepared to provide 50m EURO. However, government is yet hesitant to accept the money, as there can be more profitable offers or chances to finance the project independently.
Japanese companies with their technologies were invited to participate in the project during the visit of Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev to Japan. They were very interested in the offer and some of them are expected to present their technologies during their visit to Azerbaijan in April. The government `s interest in Japanese companies can be dictated by the high expertise of the latter in this area.
Recycling factory will be made of the entire complex, including facilities for collection, transportation, utilization, burning, burying and recycling of garbage and possibly also producing the electric energy. The factory will annually recycle 600,000 tons of garbage.
Before the project will be realized it is necessary to define whether it will be state or private sector owned. A conception will be prepared for that.
