Azerbaijan to take part at the SMB international conference

Small and medium business: reality and glance into future international conference was held in Istanbul at the Organization of the Black sea Economic Cooperation (OBEC) permanent secretariat. Z. Gasimov, head of the Business Development Department at the Ministry of Economic Development has represented Azerbaijan at the meeting, the Ministry told Trend.

40 representatives from 12 member states took part at the organized by OBEC and the Conrad Adenauer Fund conference. The conference was presided over by the Turkish president of the Small and Medium Business (SMB) Fund, Himli Develi. Participants have informed the conference on measures taken to develop SMB in their countries and steps to be taken in future.

A protocol including recommendations on SMB development was adopted at the conference. Improvement of economic and legal conditions for the development of SMB in the Black Sea region, development of the entrepreneurship culture via education and information, organization of the Consulting Forum to initialize the dialog between government and businessmen, creation of the working groups in the SMB member states, development of the female entrepreneurship, creation of the forum for the Young Business Leaders in the regional centers, collection of the information about successful SMB and its spreading in the regional centers were among the recommendations.
