The Azerbaijani Accountancy Chamber (AC) hopes for closer cooperation with the British National Audit Office, Trend reports referring to Namig Nasrullayev, the chair of AC.
According to Nasrullayev, they have plans on parallel examination, check-up of the activities of AC, implementation of pilot audit events jointly with British National Audit Office, application of high audit standards, and holding of trainings.
We have many projects. The implementation of the projects will be possible in case of their injection to the action plan on the base of the memorandum on mutual understanding
, Nasrullayev stressed.
The memorandum on mutual understanding was signed by Namig Nasrullayev and John Bourn in London on 13 May 2003.
Touching upon audit acts by AC, Nasrullayev said they carry out an audit of state incomes in the Union of Transportation Control of the Azerbaijani State Railway and Aztelekom PA of the Communication and Information Technologies Ministry.
From 10 April we will start an audit of the funds allocated by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) for solution of social and communal problems of refugees and IDP, Nasrullayev underlined.
