The Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BTDB) is studying the sectors of the high priority for the government, within the frames of the new strategy on operational activity in Azerbaijan for 2007-2010.
The discussions have been held between the BTDB mission and the Azerbaijani minister of Economic Development, Heydar Babayev, Trend reports citing the Ministry press-release. The bank` s vice- president
, Swetlana Ziklovan and head of the politics and strategy department, Guinea-Arminio Yorg were among the mission.
Bankers were suggested to expand the BTDB activity in the private sector development area, financial sector (i.e. in the area of leasing, insurance and in banking area), participate in the implementation of regional projects, provision of micro-financial services and etc. Participation in large projects has been suggested at the meeting. These proposals will be included into the state wide strategy.
Perspectives of bilateral cooperation have also been discussed by the BTDB mission.
