During first quarter Azerbaijans GDP rose by 39,5% year over-year. Trend reports with reference to State Statistics Committee that GDP in current prices as of April 1, 2006 amounted AZN 3,223 mln. GDP per capita rose by 37.9% and amounted AZN 387 ($423.4).
Fraction of industry in GDP rose by 58.7% year-over-year and totaled 68.6 % (AZN 2,210.2 mln). In service sector, additional profit jumped 10.3% year-over-year, but its fraction in GDP fell from 31.4% to 24.3%.
Net taxes from production and import constituted 7.1% of GDP. During his period the industry has its GDP in amount of AZN 1,872.7 mln, 58.1% in total GDP, agriculture, hunting sector and forestry have gained additional profit in amount of AZN 53.2 (1.7%), construction sector - AZN 284.3 mln (8.8%), transport sector AZN 200.6 mln (6.2%), communication sector AZN 65.7 (2%), wholesale and retail trade, car sphere, household and repair sector AZN 224.2 mln (7%), restaurant an hotel sector AZN 24.7mln (0.8%), social and other services AZN 267.2 mln (8.3%).
