The Azerbaijani government choose the further form of cooperation with IMF; without the support programs and without credits, the the vice department head on Central Asia and Middle East, Vitalii Kramarenko told at today` s press-conference.
IMF will assist Azerbaijan if requested, he said. The IMF territorial representatives are expected to visit Azerbaijan in the course of the year and the technical aid will be provided in 3 directions- modification of
the national accounts system, budget classification and foreign debt control.
IMF does not see the necessity to assist the country in the modification of the taxation system modification. Changes to the taxation and customs codex have already been prepared within the frames of the technical aid, he said.
The government is attentive to the IMF recommendations and such form of cooperation is acceptable for IMF, Kramarenko said. The close dialog between Azerbaijan and the monetary fund will be continued, he concluded.
