Japanese present garbage processing technology in Baku

Japanese EBARA arranged a presentation of a solid waste management technology. In case Azeri side gets interested in EBARAs technology, the companys officials will return to Azerbaijan with specific offers. The company has an experience of work in some 20 countries; its technology is accounted for any capacity of waste management facility.

Government officials told Trend that Japanese companies operating in this sphere

were invited during Azeri Presidents visit to Japan. Apart from EBARA, there are other companies eager to present their technologies in Azerbaijan.

Government officials suggest that specific offers may arrive following the decision on construction of garbage processing plant. Its concept is still being worked out by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and Executive Power of Baku city.

The government didnt yet identify the project funds. European Bank expressed its readiness to issue E 50mln. By preliminary TEO, the project cost is E 350mln.

EBARA has in practice the case of financing similar project by Japanese Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), but the government did not address the bank on this matter.
