Ministry of Transport of Azerbaijan and Executive power of Baku city started drawing the program on unloading the capitals transport infrastructure up to the year 2030, first deputy Transport Minister Musa Panakhov told Trend. This design is drawn as per the Presidents decree В"Modernization of transport system in Baku city in 2006-2007В".
During 20002001 Central Consultant Inc. And Nippon Koei Co.,Ltd performed a study of possible modernization of urban transport system in Baku city. This study included the development plan for urban transport system up to the year 2020 and TEO for priority-driven directions. However, Panakhov said, this project is outdated due to rapidly changing transport environment.
