Highway Shamkir-Gazakh to complete in July

Alliance of Autoban of Germany and Azwirt-Azerkerpu-Azeragrotikinti is completing reconstruction of 73km long highway Shamkir-Gazakh in July 2006, Trend reports quoting Javid Gurbanov, head of Yolnagliyyatservis department with Ministry of Transport.

Earlier the companies encountered and solved problems with a roadway as the Ministry of Transport found its pavement not meeting quality standards and forced them to lay it again.

This project is executed at cost of World Banks credit in amount of $40mln issued under standard MAP terms. The credit is issued to reconstruct highway Ganja-Gazakh. First part of the project (Ganja to Shamkir 21 km) was executed by Turan Hazinadaroglu of Turkey.
