technical mission of Russian Aluminum OAO arrived in Baku to continue negotiations on aluminum plant construction in Azerbaijan. Trend reports quoting Heydar Babayev, minister of economic development, the main goal of this visit is to study the issues related to power basis and transport sector, as well as aluminum production expenses and amounts of investments.
OAOs experts are coming to Azerbaijan the second time. Last time experts mainly examined aluminum deposits, railroad lines and raw material supply.
The plant design suggests annual capacity of 300 KT. Total amount of investments for the plant operation and relevant infrastructure and power plant exceeds $1bn.
