Azerbaijan, Luxemburg sign Convention to avoid double taxation

Today of double taxation avoiding convention was signed between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan at the Ministry of Tax of Azerbaijan. Trend reports with reference to the ministrys press release, on behalf of Azerbaijan the document signed Tax Minister Fazil Kerimov and on behalf of Luxemburg Minister of Economy and Foreign trade Jannot Kreke.

The convention signed is one of the priority documents that will boost improvement of investing climate and so on. The document also will help developing mutual relations and stimulate investments from Luxemburg.

The press release says the turnover between the two countries grows year-by-year. At the moment branch office of Cargoluks Airlines International, registered in Luxemburg, is operating in Azerbaijan.

This convention is 26th Azerbaijan signs with foreign countries on this matter.

Besides, 20 more countries are currently negotiated on such convention, and in some cases (Bulgaria, Qatar, Denmark, Estonia, Kuwait, Sweden, Oman, the Netherlands, Serbia and Montenegro) these conventions are already agreed upon at the level of experts and ready to signing. Alongside, negotiations on the draft convention are held with UAE, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, Greece, Saudi Arabia and India.
