The Ministry of Labor and Social Security defined the list of persons to receive address social aid starting July 1. The Ministry officials told Trend the documents of only 36,197 out of 186,179 families submitted documents by June 1, 2006 to social security centers have been registered. The commissions examined the documents of 4,488 families, from which 3,148 will be receiving the aid and 1,225 were rejected due to documentation noncompliance.
According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, the upper level of family income for reception of social aid is set in amount of 30 manat (150,000 AZM).
The Ministry officials said the enlightenment work with the population addressed for social aid resulted in dispatching 18,899 people to employment services in 2Q, up 36.3% over quarter. From this number, 5,822 people have been employed (up 8.9% over quarter), 256 sent to vocational education, (up 71.2%), 358 involved in public works (up 53%).
The address social aid project has been introduced within two joint projects with the World Bank and TACIS.
