In January to May 2006 growth pace of industrial production made up 6% in average in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), whereas in January to May 2005 a rise was 5%, Trend reports citing Russian news agency RBK.
The highest growth pace was observed in Azerbaijan (43.8%), Belorus (12.4%) and Turkmenistan (22.4%). Industrial production dropped 1.9% in Armenia, 9.7% - Kyrgyzstan and 6.9% - Moldova.
In May 2006 average industrial production per country rose 0.6% in CIS as compared to April 2006 (in May 2005 is dropped 5.2%). At the same time growth of industrial production was 5.7% a month in Azerbaijan, 7.3% - Belorus, 3.5% - Kazakhstan, 5.1% - Moldova, Ukraine 4.4%.
