Next year the World Bank (WB) will carry out combined financing of the projects in Azerbaijan. The projects of social character will be financed at the expense of credits on the terms of International Association for Development (IAD). However, funds for the financing the project on reconstruction of automobile highways will be allotted on the terms of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), Gregory T.Jedrzejczak, the WBs newly appointed country manager for Azerbaijan, told Trend.
According to Jedrzejczak said the bank intends to continue crediting in issue of state guarantees. At present the bank more and more faces with financing regional projects which obligatorily requires state guarantees.
Jedrzejczak noted that over 15 years the per capita GDP in Azerbaijan will rise 4 times. As a result of the country will obtain a concrete chance. Besides, there is a great probability for tremendous risks such as Dutch Disease. In this respect the WB is ready to render assistance to Azerbaijan.
