Due to the dismissal of Baku city Transport Department, the Ministry of Transport of Azerbaijan will regulate transportation of passengers in the capital, upgrade of management system, further increase of effectiveness on the basis of existing governmental authorities, governmental officials told Trend.
At the moment, the Ministry operates several organizations issuing tax labels to
vehicles owners, transport safety, regulation and so on. The Ministry of Transport is going to build its work on them.
Governmental officials said delegation of authorities to the Ministry will enable upgrade the tax collecting system. While issuing tax labels, ministry requested the citys executive power for information on quantity of buses in Baku.
According to the Transport Department, passenger buses total 3 thousand.
