The next meeting of the Council of the heads of customs services of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member-countries will be held in Baku, such desicio was made in Istanbul during the 5th meeting of Council held on July 3-5.
Azerbaijan was represented at the meeting by the chairman of the State Customs Committee (SCC) Aydin Aliyev, Trend reports with reference to SCC. The meeting focused on the cooperation within the organization and the realization of previously made decisions.
The sides discussed the creation of the database on contraband and violation of customs rules, the agreement project on mutual administrative assistant, upgrade the mechanism of information exchange in the sphere of customs, etc.
Aliyev delivered a speech at the forum and signed the document on Azerbaijans joining the Agreement on creation and activity of Data base on contraband and violation of customs rules.
The chairman of SCC was elected the chairman of the Council for the next year.
