The visit of Colin Conrad and Mary Burney, specialists of us national program for selection and genetic bank, to Azerbaijan with the purpose of rare plants study, is complete, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Agriculture.
During their visit, specialists went to the southern parts of Azerbaijan, in particular Talish mountains. They collected rare species of trees and bushes, assisted by representatives of Institute of Genetic Reserves and Scientific-Agrarian Center of Agriculture Ministry.
The guests from America spent 8 days in Azerbaijan. 4 collected specimens of rare plants have been dispatched to the USA and the agreement was achieved regarding sending other 16 specimens by the Institute.
