A regional workshop of the World Customs Organization (WCO) on turnover of counterfeit medicine will be held in Azerbaijan, the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan told Trend.
A resolution of the organization of the workshop in Azerbaijan in February 2007 was taken in a meeting of the WTO held in Brussels with participation of Azerbaijan delegation led by Aydin Aliyev, the head of the State Committee.
Azerbaijan proposed to attract the organization of the seminar the institutions such as Interpol, the World Health Organization (WHO), the Copyrights Agency and others. For the time being the WHO and Interpol have given position replies for conduct of the event.
Big world pharmaceutics companies will act as sponsors to the seminar.
