As of July 1, green tea leaves harvest in Azerbaijan totaled 510ton, almost equal to that in relevant period of 2005, Trend report with reference to the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan.
This year green tea sown area in Azerbaijan totaled 2.9k ha.
This year, the ministry officials said, tea harvest is forecasted in amount of 1k ton.
In 2005 green tea harvest in Azerbaijan totaled 700ton. Lands productivity was 1.8centner/ha.
In Azerbaijan green tea is cultivated in Lankaran, Astara, partially in Masalla, Zagatala and Lerik.
