At the moment there is no problem with Azeri vessels passage in Russias internal waters and those of Caspian Marine Lines of Azerbaijan are operated in usual order, the company officials told Trend.
This year CASPAR obtained 25 authorizations for 14 vessels to pass in Russias internal waters. From these authorizations, 11 stipulate entrance and 14 exit from Caspian Sea.
However, despite these authorizations, Azerbaijan hopes for concluding a long-term agreement for vessels passage in Russias internal waters, which calls for revision of the RFs current legislation.
At the moment Azeri vessels passage in Russias waters costs $20 $25k, bringing big profits to Russias channel services.
