Azeri government to involve international assessors to reveal real amount of investments allocated by Barmek Holding

The Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan is going in the near future to involve the international auditory commission to assess the amount of investment disbursed by Barmek Holding into Bakuelectronshebeke OSC, Mikayil Jabbarov, the deputy minister of economic development and the head of the commission for inspection of Barmek Holdings fulfilling the contractual obligations, told Trend.

The selection of assessor will be made on base of agreement with Barmek because we have presented proposals to the company. We want to accelerate this process, Jabbarov told.

The realization of the assessment of investments was decided at the

inter-departmental commission for inspection of Barmek Holdings obligations.

According to the deputy economic development minister, the commission has practically completed the inspection and at the moment acts are being prepared. And the inspection of fulfillment of contractual obligations in connection with Sumgaitelektrikshebeke will take 3-4 weeks.

According to the statement of Barmek, it has invested $291 mln into Baku electric network.

According to initial investigations, it was made clear that the company has put investments less than those described in the statement.
