During the first half-year of 2006, Azeri customs registered 87,421 cargo declarations, from 19,277 for export and 68,144 for import.
trend reports with reference to State Customs Committee (SCC), registered declarations rose by 9.2% (7,385) over year.
During this period, all transport means transported cargos at 12.165mln ton, up 41.37% over year. From total amount of cargos 6.745mln ton were export and 5.419mln ton import.
3.1618mln ton of cargos have been transited via Azerbaijan during the reported period. These cargos were mainly exported from Switzerland (952.4k ton), Italy (776.9k ton), Georgia (617.7k ton), Cyprus (112.3k ton), Tajikistan (159.7k ton), Russia (92.5k ton), Iran (95.8k ton), Turkey (86.9k ton) and Turkmenistan (87.7k ton).
