In a short time Azerbaijani and Turkish governments shall agree on solving Nakhchivan debt problems. Turkish State Minister Mehmet Aydin told Trend the terms and methods of NARs debts repayments would be discussed this time.

The last weeks Azeri-Turkish intergovernmental commission failed to come to any decision, though debt obligations have been widely discussed.

В"We know of the debts and there was no necessity in stating the debt amount or terms of repayment again. The related organizations shall work some stuff to identify repayment toolsВ", said Turkish minister. Besides, Azerbaijani vice-premier Abid Sharifov also said the debts will be agreed upon in short.

NAR owes $20mln to Eksmibank of Turkey due to issuing grain as credit.

Turkey is ready to perform a restructuring and therefore proposes discussing the debt repayment terms.

In total, Azerbaijan owes Turkey $141.87mln for power delivered to Nakhchivan from Turkey (35-40 kWh a month).
