State budget surplus totaled 1.3 percent of GDP in first half-year 2006

During the first half-year actual incomes to budget amounted 1,540.6mln manat (21.5% of GDP), up 68.8% (628.1mln manat) over year, governmental officials told Trend. The budget expenses rose by 59.9 % (541.6mln manat) over year and amounted 1,446mln manat (20.2% of GDP).

The budget surplus amounted 94,6mln manat during January-June, 1.3% of GDP.

In budget income column, 66.7% (1,027.1mln manat) were provided by the Ministry of Tax. The tax collection forecast was fulfilled at 104.2%. Customs duties and tax incomes amounted 248.2mln manat (16.1% of GDP) at forecast fulfillment of 101.9%.

During the ported period, VAT incomes amounted 346.2mln manat (22.5% of total income), profit tax 193.9mln manat (12.6%), income tax 140.7mln manat (9.1%), excise tax 68.5mln manat (4.4%), foreign trade taxes 135.3mln manat (8.8%).

Social security in first half-year consumed 149.6mln manat (10.3%), education 212.7mln manat (14.7%), maintenance of prosecutors offices, security agencies, law-enforcement and legal authorities 101.6mln manat (7%), investments in economy 441.6mln manat (30.5%), municipal expenses 22.8mln manat (1.6%), industry and construction 277.3mln manat (19.2%), agriculture, forestry and fishery 64.5mln manat (4.5%). Salaries, pensions and other fees ate 492mln manat (34%) of firt half-year budgetary expenses.
