77.5% of base inflation is reported at share of non-monetary factors

Within the first half year, the share of the monetary factors was 22.5% in formation of 5.6% base inflation. Among the monetary factors, the main influence was made by money mass, the growth of which was 22.5%, Trend reports with reference to Azerbaijan National Bank (ANB). Due to the issue that in January-June, the nominal effective course became cheaper by 0.7%, the same indicator in formation of inflation wasnt indicated practically.

The significant impact on inflation was made by non-monetary factors (77.5%). The share of administrative regular prices was 33.3% for the account period and this is related with

the increase of the prices for diesel oil and kerosene. The influence of seasonal factor was at level of 13.8% where under the influence of the winter season, the prices in January-April became expensive by 1.4%. However, in May-June, in relation with the summer season, the priced reduced by 2%.

Within the year (for period of June 2005 June 2006), the growth of prices for foodstuffs was 12, non-foodstuffs 5.1%, service 1.5%. In June, the share of foodstuffs in formation of inflation was reported at 79.3%, the share of bread and bread products 2.1%, meat and meat products 23.85, fruit and vegetable products 27.3%, butter and grease 1.9%, milk and egg 10%, sugar and tea 13.6%, drinks and tobacco 0.5%.
