At the moment, due to the bad weather situations, about 900 trains with cargos have collected in Azerbaijan, which were appointed to be forwarded to Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, a government source told Trend. At present, all opportunities are used to resolve the problem.
According to the information provided by the Azerbaijan State Railway Department (ASRD), at the moment, 109 coaches with pipes from Ukraine stay on the way, about 400 coaches with alumina from Australia, which are transported through Poti port, 110 with products of Ganja aluminum plant and 17 metal.
The Ukrainian side imposed a prohibition to the railway cargo transportation in direction of Caspian Sea region until August 5, 2006. As stated by ASRD, it was made with their request.
