Railwaymen of Azerbaijan, Russia and Georgia to meet

Next week, the representatives of the rail ways of Azerbaijan, Russia and Georgia will come together in Rostov where they will discuss deliver of oil products from Russian port of Makhachkala to Georgian port of Batumi through the territory of Azerbaijan,Trend reports with reference to the State Railway Department of Azerbaijan (SRDA).

Today, due to the problems in Georgia, as well as lack of the enough number of locomotives, Azerbaijan daily sends about 3 200 tons of Turkmen diesel oil and mazut to Batumi port, transported from Russian port of Makhachkala to the Black Sea through Azerbaijan.

However, according to the contract, Russia sends about 4 thousand tons a day. In result, several parts of carriages await the existence of the locomotives in Azerbaijan and will be forwarded after receiving locomotives.

Besides, Russian side has promised to supply 5 locomotives for provisional use in Azerbaijan in transporting the cargos shipped from Russia through Azerbaijan. This issue will also be discussed.
