Since putting the sugar factory into exploitation in Imishli district of Azerbaijan, it has produced 120 thousand tons of products, Trend reports quoting Azersun Holding.
The project capacity of the factory is 1000 tons daily, but today the factory has exceeded the project capacity and reached the daily production to 1050 1100 tons.
Besides, it was stated that for 2006, 200 thousand tons of sugar-beet is forecasted to
be processed and 300 000 granulated sugar to be produced.
The opening ceremony of the enterprise in Imishli was held in spring of this year with the participation of Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev.
Today, the number of employees of Azersun Holding created in 1992 exceeds 3 thousand persons. The activity sphere of Holding covers processing and bagging of tea, vegetative oil, trade and distributorship, construction, banking activity, insurance, production of paperboard products, shipment and keeping of cargos, etc.
